Color calibration and ink matching

Color Is Not Printed.
Color Is Composed.

Anyone can press ink onto paper. Matching what's in your mind — and holding that match across 10,000 copies — is craft.

Color Accuracy, Quantified

At Chromex Press, color accuracy is not a promise — it's a specification. Our color workflow is aligned with G7 calibration and Fogra 39/51 standards, enabling us to maintain ΔE ≤ 2.0 within a print run and ΔE ≤ 3.0 across reprints. For context: the human eye typically can't detect color differences below ΔE 2.0. That's the threshold we work to — not the ceiling.

Beyond the Numbers

Machines measure color. People judge it.

Every premium project at Chromex Press is personally reviewed by The Master Colorist — a veteran of Hong Kong's legendary print industry with over 30 years at the proofing table. He calibrates instinct with instrumentation, and he signs off only when both agree.

This dual approach — machine precision plus human judgment — is why clients trust us with the work that matters most: art books, monographs, photography volumes, and packaging where color is the product.

"Every sheet is a conversation between ink, paper, and light. My job is to listen."
